Seoul Grace is a gospel-focused, grace-giving international community of followers of Jesus Christ who love God and are empowered by the Holy Spirit to serve the city of Seoul and beyond.
We believe that the message of free grace for lost and broken people such as ourselves is the good news that continually motivates us to love and serve those around us in the city. We welcome all who are drawn to God by His grace and mercy.
We recognize that the Gospel--the truth that we are so lost and yet so loved by God through Jesus--isn't just the starting point to faith, but the continual truth we must apply to our lives to free ourselves to live as God intended.
We strive to be intellectually honest with the Word of God--expositing it to learn the meaning of the text and applying it to our modern-day lives.
We acknowledge that being motivated by the sacrificial love of Jesus Christ, we are compelled to love and serve the city we live in and those around us. This sacrificial love makes us radically transformed in the way we use our time, money, energy and gifts. We seek to give, not take. We seek to serve, not to be served.
All are welcome to join us in worshiping the true and living God.
Seoul Grace was started in the summer of 2010 when a few international graduates students from local universities decided to meet, pray and study the Bible in English to share their lives and grow in fellowship. Ahyun Church's English-speaking Korean community welcomed the students into the church. Seoul Grace Community's intention was to create a community of fellowship for individuals from all over the globe.
The ministry grew to include not only international students but Seoul natives from abroad as well as expats from the international community of Seoul working and living in the city.
Official worship services began in September 2011. In the spring of 2012, Pastor Allen took over as the lead pastor.
Seoul Grace now welcomes worshippers from India to Africa, the USA to Korea and beyond. All of us believe God has placed us in Seoul at this time to love and serve the city through the message of the gospel.
